The Affordable Government website seeks to live up to its name in contrast to other “affordable” programs — namely “affordable housing” and “affordable health care”. The Affordable Housing program not only ruined housing for thousands but also destroyed the financial markets and sent the nation into a long recession. The Affordable Care Act deprived individuals of the health care they were promised they could keep, driving up premium and deductible payments beyond the limits that were promised, and increased the overall tax burden for American citizens. Meanwhile, government spending is at historically high levels with a federal deficit and federal debt that taxpayers can no longer afford.
